It’s not unusual for an anthology to take its name from one of the stories in the collection. “Live Free or Ride” follows that pattern, but here’s the twist: The story by that name has not yet been written or even assigned.
Between now and February 1, 2014, writers are invited to submit stories based upon that very title. Obviously the stories will feature the Concord Coach and but to be considered. Beyond that, the sky really is the limit as stories can be written in any pulp genre.
Submit your most gritty, lascivious, fantastic, or terrifying tale and it could be the one chosen to be immortalized as the title story in the fifth volume of New Hampshire Pulp Fiction (Volume 1: “Live Free or Undead” and Volume 2: “Live Free or Die, Die, Die!” and Volume 3: “Live Free or Sci-Fi” are currently on sale across New Hampshire and available from nhbooksellers.com).
For additional details or to submit stories, write editors Rick Broussard and Elaine Isaak at livefreeorridefiction@gmail.com.
